  24.      This document explains the rights and obligations of users for use 
  25.      of the shareware and registered copies of software written by
  26.      Gregorian Programmers Guild. In the following document:
  27.  
  28.      * "us" or "we" refers to the Gregorian Programmers Guild (henceforth 
  29.        GPG), an autonomous business group based in Montreal, Quebec. 
  30.      * "you" are the user of the program(s) offered by GPG
  31.      * "program", "package" and "software package" refers to the GPG 
  32.        software product(s) forming the dwm software package, which
  33.        you have purchased or obtained as shareware for evaluation purposes,
  34.        as well as other supporting documentation and materials.
  35.      * "Shareware copy" refers to a copy of a program distributed by us or 
  36.        through means which we have authorized, and is intended for evaluation 
  37.        purposes. Shareware versions of the dwm package are identified as such
  38.        in the dwm dialog box.
  39.      * "Registered copy" refers to a copy of a program purchased from us, or 
  40.        from an authorized dealer, or a shareware copy that has been registered
  41.        by branding the shareware with a registration code provided by GPG.
  42.        Registered copies of GPG software are identified as such in the dwm
  43.        dialog box.

  45.      This is a legal agreement which outlines the conditions for using the
  46.      software products offered by GPG.  If you are unable to abide by the 
  47.      agreement, or do not agree with the terms of the agreement, you should 
  48.      not use our programs. The executable programs dwm, dobs, vern, blanch and
  49.      dnote, the supporting documentation, as well as any additional GPG utility 
  50.      programs are fully protected by copyright under Canadian law and by
  51.      international treaty provisions. The software and copyrights are owned by
  52.      GPG.  You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any of
  53.      the dwm programs.

  59.      The software package offered by GPG contains programs with capabilities 
  60.      designed to manage working environments and files. Failure to follow 
  61.      documentation, or improper use of the programs can result in deletion,
  62.      damage to, or loss of files. The user assumes full responsibility 
  63.      for choosing to use GPG software (see liability notice, below).
  64.  
  65.      Shareware copies of GPG software may be used for a trial period 
  66.      of up to 21 days, in order to evaluate the software package before 
  67.      purchasing it.  The evaluation period begins when you first install 
  68.      the program on one or more computers (as many as is necessary for 
  69.      purposes of evaluation). After the 21 day period expires, you agree 
  70.      to either buy a registered copy of the program, or to discontinue use 
  71.      of the program on all machines used to evaluate it. If you decide to 
  72.      buy the program, you may continue to use your shareware copy until 
  73.      your registered copy arrives. If you are evaluating a shareware 
  74.      copy of GPG programs, you are free to make copies of the software 
  75.      package for distribution to other users, providing you include all 
  76.      the files you received with your shareware copy. You agree to inform 
  77.      the recipient that the shareware is for a limited time evaluation 
  78.      purpose only, and they must buy a registered copy of the program if 
  79.      they wish to continue using it after the evaluation period expires. 
  80.      You further agree not to sell shareware copies of GPG software, 
  81.      nor receive any kind of fee or compensation for distributing copies.
  82.      Note, licensed shareware dealers should refer to the file VENDOR.TXT
  83.      supplied with the distribution. BBS administrators should refer to the
  84.      file BBS.TXT for GPG policy for bulletin boards.

  86.      Registered copies may be bought directly from GPG, or through an 
  87.      authorized software dealer. Shareware users also have the option of
  88.      converting shareware copies into registered versions using a registration
  89.      code provided by GPG. Registered copies may be purchased for 
  90.      use on individual computers, or for multiple computers through a 
  91.      site license registration. Single registered copies are for use on a 
  92.      single computer, and may also be installed on a portable computer 
  93.      owned by the licensee, providing the computers are not generally in 
  94.      use at the same time. If you purchase a multi-system license, or 
  95.      network site license, you agree not to use the software on 
  96.      more computers than indicated on your license or invoice of the 
  97.      licensed GPG product at any one time. Registered copies of GPG 
  98.      software diskettes may be duplicated for normal backup purposes. 
  99.      You agree not to make other copies of the software, or any part 
  100.      of them, and agree not to sell or give away registered copies of 
  101.      the software to others, without our advance written permission.

  112.      LIMITED WARRANTY: GPG products are provided with a limited warranty,
  113.      which only applies to registered copies of the software. This warranty
  114.      does not apply to shareware copies of the program. Disks and manuals we
  115.      send to you will be free of physical defects which interfere with normal
  116.      use of the product. If you discover such a defect, and bring it to our 
  117.      attention within 90 days of purchase, we will replace the item(s) 
  118.      free of charge, providing the defect was not caused by misuse or 
  119.      abuse. We cannot guarantee that the software will be completely free
  120.      of bugs or program errors. Any bugs or errors brought to our attention 
  121.      will be dealt with. If a corrected error merits a maintenance release,
  122.      registered users will receive notice of the new release, as well as 
  123.      details of the problem addressed and corrected. If you are dissatisfied 
  124.      with the product you buy from us, you may return it at any time up to 
  125.      90 days after purchase for a refund. Refunds will be based on the 
  126.      price you paid, less shipping costs. You must contact us before 
  127.      sending us any product for a refund. This satisfaction guarantee and 
  128.      refund offer does not apply to multi-system licenses or network site 
  129.      licenses for more than 10 computers, or to purchase of more than 10 
  130.      individual copies.

  133.      USE LICENSE FOR YOUR SHAREWARE COPY OF THE PROGRAM. ACCORDINGLY, 
  134.      THE SHAREWARE COPY IS PROVIDED "AS-IS", AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY 
  135.      KIND.
